How to play this hex stack puzzle
- Tap a stack in Play now to pick it up. Up next shows the stacks that follow.
- Tap an empty socket on the loom to place it. With a mouse you can also drag it there.
- Every neighbour that shows the same top color sends its matching top layers across on its own. Six layers of one color clear a Rosette.
- Meet the goal shown above the loom before every socket fills.
Each stack shows its top color’s symbol and how many matching layers sit on top, out of the six a Rosette needs. Tap the stack in your hand again to put it back. With a keyboard, Tab moves between stacks and sockets, Enter or Space picks up and places, and Escape puts a stack back.
The tutorial level has the app’s Gallery tools: Undo, Hint, one Smash that removes a stack, and Swap, which trades a stack for the next one in the queue. Today’s Daily Loom board follows the Daily’s rules: no undo, no hints and no tools. Restart is always free here.
Hexagon sort tips: build the chain
- Place beside a matching top, not just anywhere open. A stack with no match only takes up a socket.
- Look under the top layer. The color a Rosette uncovers decides what pulls next, and that is where chains come from.
- Keep open sockets near the middle. A loom that fills from the edges in leaves you room to the end.
- Every material carries its own symbol, so the board never depends on telling colors apart.
More technique is in the Hexloom hex stack guide, and the hex stack puzzle rules fit on one screen.
Today’s Daily Loom practice board
The practice board is seeded by the UTC date, so everyone who opens it today gets the same loom and the same stacks, and it is the same practice board the Hexloom app deals for the day. A fresh one arrives at 00:00 UTC. Retry it as often as you like; your best score on it is remembered on this device only.
The ranked Daily Loom is a different board, one server-verified board for everyone, played once in the app. Practising here never spends or rehearses that ranked run.
What the Hexloom app adds
The app keeps the ranked side: today’s Daily Loom against a shared leaderboard, a streak, 96 handcrafted Gallery puzzles across eight wings, fresh Flow boards, drag or tap, color-vision palettes, bold symbols and reduced effects. The tutorial and the ranked Daily Loom are free with no ads and no account needed, with an optional $4.99 one-time unlock or the StackForge Play Pass for the Gallery and unlimited Flow.
Hexagon stack puzzle questions
What is a hexagon stack puzzle?
A hexagon stack puzzle, also called a hex stack or hexagon sort puzzle, gives you stacks of colored hex tiles to place on a honeycomb board. Stacks that touch and show the same top color merge, and a tall enough run of one color clears. In Hexloom matching top layers gather together on their own, and six of one color clear a Rosette.
How do I play Hexloom here?
Tap a stack in Play now, then tap an empty socket on the loom. Every neighbour showing the same top color sends its matching top layers across automatically, and six matching layers clear a Rosette. The colors that a Rosette uncovers can pull another group straight away, which is how one placement turns into a chain.
Is today's board the ranked Daily Loom?
No. It is the same unranked practice board the Hexloom app deals for today's Daily Loom before you start your ranked run. The ranked Daily Loom is one server-verified board for everyone, played once a day in the app on iPhone and Android, and its leaderboard lives there too. Nothing you do on this page is ranked.
Do I need an account or an install?
Neither. The puzzle runs in this page, you can retry as often as you like, and nothing about your play is sent anywhere. Your best scores are kept only in this browser.
Are there ads, lives or timers?
No. The browser puzzle is free with no ads, and the Hexloom app has no ads or energy timers. In the app the complete tutorial and today's ranked Daily Loom are free, with no account needed; an optional $4.99 one-time unlock or the StackForge Play Pass opens all 96 Gallery puzzles across eight wings and unlimited Flow.
