What is a number roguelite?
A roguelite deckbuilder is a run-based card game: you start each run small, add cards and rule-bending items as you go, and try to build an engine strong enough to beat escalating targets before the run ends. A number roguelite swaps poker hands or spells for arithmetic, so the patterns are ones everybody already knows.
How Sumward plays
Pick up number cards and play hands that form a pattern: a pair, a run, cards that sum to ten, or five cards of one colour. Each pattern scores chips times a multiplier, so the overlap between patterns is where the big numbers come from.
Clear a round to reach The Exchange, with twenty-two relics, number packs, foil, holo and gild enhancements, and a deck shredder. From the third round on, a rule change lands every round: Static Field takes your swaps at round 4, and The Auditor scores junk hands at zero at round 8. Beat eight escalating rounds to win the run.
What is free and what is paid
Sumward is free to start: the ranked Daily, your first five casual starts, then three casual runs a day, with the full relic and enhancement pool available from the start.
The Sumward Full Game Unlock is $4.99 one time. It removes the daily run cap and opens Infinite Mode past round 8 with room for eight relics, the Marathon board, every table theme, and the Ledger of lifetime run stats. StackForge Play Pass, $2.99 a month or $14.99 a year, unlocks Pro in every StackForge game. There are no ads in either tier.
